Wallop the Cat

Between the time I lifted my camera and clicked the shutter, my cat Wallop had spotted a fly and leaped for it.

Happiness in My Own Backyard

I didn't wander far today. In fact, the furthest place I went was my own backyard. I still took some photos though. Here's the best one.

Grasshopper

This was the best photo I took today, and it was in my very own front yard. I have a feeling that this is what has been eating my peppers.

Del Taco Sign

My daily photo is of the Del Taco in Buena Park CA. I love neon signs. We ate dinner over there tonight.

Daily Photo

My choice for today's photo is a self-portrait from my backyard. You can see some of the gourds waiting to be turned into art as well as my patio.

Horses

Yesterday's meandering took me up to Silverado to visit some long lost friends of my boyfriend's. We had a blast. We bbqed, we petted some horses, we watched some footage of their trip to Burning Man. We discussed artistic ventures.

My Kitchen Timer Goes For a Walk

One of the problems I've had with doing a timed walk each day has been keeping track of the time. If I wear a watch, I check it too often or forget to check it to see if I'm done yet. If I go by the clock in the living room, I'm already home when I see I haven't walked long enough and then I don't feel like going out again.
So today I had an epiphany. I took the new purse I got for Mother's Day, put the kitchen timer in it, set it for 30 minutes, and then walked to Fresh n Easy to get the milk. When I stepped on the lawn on the way to the door, the timer dinged and I knew I was done. This time I didn't take the camera, but I usually do.
